about

While many consider Tone of the Evening Drone to be the seminal Delicate Apparatus album, what's sets Utopia apart from the others is the effortless shifts of genres which eerily seem to be coming from entirely different sources. The orchestral tracks alone (Daylight Was Here, Sadness Falls Apart) are masterworks, coming from a mind far more mature than that of the primary composer. In fact Utopia in its entirety gives the impression of an artist far further into their catalogue, let alone a relative newcomer to the vast genres which are represented here. ☆☆☆☆
